This is the moment tourists make a citizen’s arrest of a pickpocket outside Buckingham Palace.
Footage showing two apparent “tourists” catching a suspected pickpocket and holding her outside the royal residence has gone viral on social media.
The video shows a man holding the alleged culprit with her arms behind her back before yelling at her to “shut up.”
A woman holding a red umbrella is also filmed arguing with the accused pickpocket, telling her to “stay here” and threatening to “throw her to the ground.” It is unclear who the alleged thief attempted to rob.

Restrained by her arms, the woman, dressed in a black jacket and white pants, can be heard shouting “call the police, police, call” before letting out a scream.
The tourist, with a red umbrella and a pink coat, approaches the alleged pickpocket and tells him “don’t move,” while onlookers are seen gathered around filming the incident.
She says in the footage: ‘Don’t move. No.
‘No, I don’t want you to say anything. I already called the police.
‘Stay here.’
The man threatened to throw the alleged pickpocket to the ground before telling her to ‘shut up’
The tourist holding the woman then said, “Otherwise, you will be arrested right now.”
“I’ll put you on the ground.”
The other tourist then intervened: “If you move, he will knock you to the ground.”
The alleged pickpocket shouts ‘no’ throughout the video.
At the end of the clip, the man can be seen yelling “will you shut up?” at the pickpocket.
The incident took place at the gates of Buckingham Palace. The area is a known hotspot for pickpockets, and tourists are often warned to be careful with their belongings when in the area.
It comes as the tourist site is one of London’s pickpocket hotspots.
Advice on the Changing of the Guard website alerts visitors to the risks of pickpockets and warns people to take care of their personal belongings.
It warns: ‘If you come to look, please take care of your personal belongings at all times as, like many busy places, pickpockets are known to operate in this area.
“Please report any suspicious behavior to a police officer.”
