An Australian mother has compared prices between Costco and Woolworths to find out how much customers can save.

Louise Gibson of Victoria visits Costco every two months to stock up on essentials (including toilet paper, tissues, sanitary pads and wine) and saves $50 per store.

The 29-year-old, better known as ‘That money mom’ on TikTok, told FEMAIL that she has been feeling financial stress due to the cost of living crisis and also shops at Aldi weekly.

In a video, she documented her recent trip to Costco to share how much her favorite items cost.

“If you’re not shopping at Costco, this price comparison will show you why you really need to,” he said.

Louise also told FEMAIL that she never buys eggs or yogurt from the wholesale retailer because her family never finishes the huge amount before it expires.

She was surprised at how much cheaper it is to shop at Costco compared to other retailers.

‘I think the same thing would cost over $200 at Coles and Woolworths.

‘This is your signal to start comparing prices! A big trip to Costco every couple of months can save you a lot of time.’

The “craziest” price difference Louise spotted was the cost of Infuzions vegetarian straws, which were $1.60 each at Costco, compared to $4.78 at Woolworths.

Following this advice, Louise also purchased 34 cans of Coca-Cola for $32.99, which would have cost her $47.20 elsewhere.
