The American League Wild Card Series concluded yesterday with the Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers sweeping their best-of-three series against the Baltimore Orioles and Houston Astros, respectively, to head to the American League Division Series. The San Diego Padres also defeated the Atlanta Braves in two games in the National League wild card series. The New York Mets, who have played eight games in the last seven days, will not have a rest today; Today they will play the Milwaukee Brewers in the third game of their series.
