After a four-year hiatus, MLB once again held Player Weekend, allowing each player to show a little more personality on the field, whether it was by sporting customized bats and cleats or sharing stories reminiscent of their childhood days playing.
Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman recap the players’ highlights from the weekend in baseball, including Bobby Witt Jr. hitting a home run with Backyard Baseball star Pablo Sanchez at his bat and Jazz Chisholm interacting with kids at the Little League Classic game between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers.
Also on this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, the guys discussed whether the Philadelphia Phillies have found their groove and are ready to make a breakthrough as the best team in baseball. They then debated whether the New York Mets’ next three series could be decisive for them and their postseason aspirations. Mintz and Shusterman then closed the show by saying goodbye to the last Battle of the Bay in Oakland.
