The viral clip was captioned: “Do you let your car warm up before you take it out and drive it?”
It begins with the cameraman asking each mechanic if they would advise him to warm up the car.
Mechanic Keith replied, “Always. Allow the fluids to warm up and circulate.”
Meanwhile, the next mechanic noted that he always followed his own advice.
He added: “I personally do it. I like to do it for at least 30 seconds. It really gets the oil flowing through the engine.”
Another mechanic replied that he would do it too, adding: “It is, especially if you have a turbo.”
The last car professional agreed that it is best to warm up the vehicle.
He said, “You have to make sure you warm up the engine because you want to make sure the oil is flowing (well) through the engine. This helps it last longer.”
