White Castle is the latest burger chain to join the fast food price war, cutting the price of its famous burgers to the lowest level in a decade.

Bosses say the burger costs less than 80 cents per patty, a price not seen since 2011. The deal is $8.99 in New York and New Jersey.

“Families around the world are tired of needing a small loan when they go out to buy fast food, and we know that today’s customers want to make the most of every penny,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president of White Castle.
