Queen Maxima was also dressed to impress today, wearing an olive green dress and eye-catching headpiece, which featured a series of delicate butterflies on a band.

The family toured the city, collecting gifts of flowers and greeting spectators who had gathered to wish the royal family well on King’s Day.

Her three daughters were equally elegant, and the eldest, and heir to the Dutch throne, also chose to wear green. Amalia opted for a blue-green tone, also with a floral print.
