The mystery man played by Lucy Beaumont has been revealed as sound engineer Martin Wallace.
On Sunday night, the comedian was seen leaving the Lowry Theater in Manchester, where Wallace picked her up before the pair sped off into the night.
Beaumont, 41, seemed in good spirits during the outing, which came six months after she confirmed the end of her marriage to comedian Jon Richardson.
While it’s unknown when Beaumont and Wallace met, he previously worked as a sound engineer on his ex’s 2014 stand-up special, Jon Richardson Live: Nidiot.
Wallace is an experienced sound engineer who has worked closely with a variety of comedy stars including Rob Beckett and Dara Ó Briain.

Beaumont’s evening with the sound engineer comes just six months after she split from her husband, comedian Jon Richardson (pictured).
He is also a talented multi-instrumentalist, being self-taught on guitar, piano and bass.
The nature of their relationship is unknown.
MailOnline has contacted Lucy Beaumont’s representatives for comment.
Richardson and Beaumont announced their decision to divorce in April after nine years of marriage in a move that surprised their fans.
They share a daughter and married in April 2015, after they began dating in 2013.
Beaumont and Richardson met through their friend Roisin Conaty and worked together on several shows, including Meet The Richardsons.
But in a joint statement in April they said: “After 9 years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated.” We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways.’
Richardson handed over £1.625 million to Beaumont when they ended their nine-year marriage.
And since then, the comedian opened up about their split in an interview with OK! Magazine.

Lucy and Jon met in 2013 through mutual friends before marrying in April 2015 and the former couple share a daughter (pictured in 2017).
She told the publication: “People might think I should talk about it because we were so public and everyone knew us as a couple, but I’m not going to, and not because there’s any animosity.”
“We both agreed that while it might be strange for other people not to hear about it, we wouldn’t talk about anything that had to do with the marriage or each other.”
She added of a recent new approach to life now that she’s in her forties: “I don’t really feel any different, just a little bit angrier and not willing to take anything from anyone.”
It comes after Beaumont said she sometimes worries she ‘made a mistake’ by marrying Jon while criticizing his stubbornness in an unearthed clip.
A resurfaced video shows her sharing her marital worries on Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier show, where he brings in guests to help discuss her many concerns.
When asked if Beaumont had any concerns about her ex-husband, she responded, “I have a lot.” Sometimes I worry that I’ve made a mistake.
She went on to describe how Richardson can’t admit when she’s wrong or has made a mistake, something she said can be difficult for a marriage.
“One thing I think is really difficult in a marriage is when the other person can’t admit that they’re wrong,” she continued. “I can’t apologize for making a mistake.”

Jon gave £1.625 million to Lucy when they ended their nine-year marriage.
The former couple was joined in the episode by Jonathan Ross, who chimed in to say: “It’s crucial that there’s no way a relationship can survive that.”
“You can’t judge me for that until I make a mistake,” he responded, as the audience began to laugh. “It’s not fair.”
To prove his point, Beaumont added, “And he honestly thinks I’m the one who’s flawed and that you never make a mistake.” I have an example and it’s actually not a very nice story to tell.’
He began to tell a story about their honeymoon where they rented a car and drove around the United States, while Jon looked at the map and decided to book a hotel in Santa Cruz.
“Then I looked at Santa Cruz and it has the worst homicide rate in the entire United States,” he said. ‘Worse than Los Angeles, like the most dangerous place to be. I told Jon this and he said, “Well, I’ve booked it now.”
“So we went to a falafel bar and sat in the window, looking out to sea and I thought, this is starting to come a little later, things are changing a little, and then you wouldn’t eat any of that.
‘Anyway a gang showed up and one of them got stabbed in the chest, and I looked at Jon and he remained impassive. Like I was looking at two pigeons fighting and I was in shock.’
He added: “I said, ‘Oh, I can’t eat this,’ so Jon ate my falafel too and I said, ‘Don’t you mind?'”

In another old clip shared recently, Beaumont jokingly said he didn’t think his marriage to Richardson would last a lifetime, two years before they announced their split.
In a clip unearthed from 8 in 10 Cats Countdown to 2022, Beaumont shared her candid view on her marriage, prompting Richardson, also 41, to ask: “Are they breaking up?”
In footage from the show, host Jimmy Carr asked him: “What made you decide to settle?”
To which the comedian responded: ‘I won’t see this for life, isn’t there a Just Passing Through song? A season, a reason or a whole life.’
