A sea and land search is underway after two bodies were discovered on a popular beach.
Emergency services at Little Beach in Sydney’s eastern suburbs received a call of “concern for welfare” at about 11am on Sunday, a police spokesman said.
Police found several objects in the rocks in the area.
“Shortly afterwards, a body was found near the rocks. The person has not yet been formally identified. No further details are known at this time,” they said.
Police have not yet revealed what items they found.
The police Marine Area Command is currently searching the area and a helicopter is also joining in.
