Kyle Richards admitted it’s “sad” for her to see Crystal Kung Minkoff exit Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she’s excited to see what happens next with her former co-star.
The 55-year-old, who introduced Hilaria Baldwin as a possible addition to the show, said she had “mixed feelings” about her friend’s departure on April 16 during an Amazon live segment.
“Not because of her, just because I was like, ‘Yeah, it’s probably disappointing, but also, life is great without reality TV,'” the last remaining member of the original RHOBH cast explained.
“It’s not like, ‘Oh my God, poor Crystal.’ She has a great family and there’s a lot to be said for not doing it.”
Richards may have been referring to his own feelings about another stint in the spotlight.

“I haven’t said anything yet,” the reality star said. ‘I know there are reports online that I’m not coming back, yes I am coming back. That conversation is actually TBD.
After Minkoff, 41, announced he would not be returning for a fourth year on April 15, Richards said he spoke in a group after the news broke, but “we didn’t talk about everyone else.” So honestly, he didn’t even want to talk about it.
Over the past year, the Halloween franchise actress separated from her husband Mauricio Umansky, 53, and has faced rumors about being in a same-sex relationship with country singer Morgan Wade.
Minkoff was reportedly fired from the Bravo show, according to US Weekly.
“She was fired because she didn’t comply,” according to a source who spoke to the publication.
“The producers told her she didn’t have a story, so they had to let her go.”
The businessman put a positive spin on the experience in a recorded message to hundreds of thousands of followers, telling them: “I never thought I would have been asked to do the show in a million years, let alone film it for three seasons.” ‘Every year they asked me to come back, it was a blessing. It was an honor.’
Richards, the last remaining member of the original RHOBH cast, said Minkoff’s departure was “disappointing,” noting, “but also life is great without reality TV.” The star has not said whether she will return to the show or not.
Minkoff was a part of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for three seasons. US Weekly reported that she was fired from the show.
In his farewell message, Minkoff thanked his fans for their support and hinted that more was on the horizon. “I have some other things I’ll share with you soon,” he said.
Life Refreshed co-founder Real Coco said she was happy to tell her story as an Asian-American and as someone who was going through her own struggles.
“Since then I really understood the magnitude of what that meant to people,” he said in his post.

He ended the message by promising more on the horizon.
