A teacher at one of Sydney’s most exclusive private boys’ schools has been charged with child sexual abuse.
William Roberto Gulson, 27, an English and drama teacher at Knox High School in Wahroonga on the city’s North Coast, was arrested on Friday.
He was charged with one count of soliciting or grooming a child under the age of 16 for unlawful sexual activity.
Gulson will spend the night behind bars before facing Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.
Police launched an investigation this month into allegations that a man had lured a girl over the Internet.
Gulson has worked at Knox since 2021, where he was also a Year 7 mentor and drama sports coordinator.
