A woman has been stabbed to death as an urgent search is underway for a man who was seen fleeing the scene.
Emergency services were called to a home along the Great Western Highway in Kingswood, west of Sydney, at 1.40pm on Monday.
A woman, aged around 20, was found with two stab wounds to the chest.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman at the scene before she died.
A 22-year-old man was seen fleeing the area.
The woman has not yet been formally identified.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
