Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith says he doesn’t believe the Welsh ‘would have fixed the Mother’s Day picture themselves’ amid claims the picture has been tampered with.
The palace is today facing questions after the image was withdrawn by international image agencies amid concerns that the image had been manipulated.
However, the Princess of Wales’ uncle tried to ease public concerns by saying the family looked ‘beautiful’ and ‘really genuine’ in the photo.
Speaking to Good Morning Britain about the photo, Mr. Goldsmith: ‘The smiles on the faces said it all for me, I thought it was beautiful.
“Obviously the family wouldn’t be the ones to do any retouching so if it’s gone through some filter before it’s out into the wider world, but they wouldn’t be doing photoshopping themselves.
‘But all I looked at is the faces and the smiles and it just looks like a beautiful family they are and they look really genuine, smiles on faces. And this whole “sleevegate” thing, just leave it be.’
The millionaire businessman, 58, also revealed he hadn’t spoken to his niece ‘for ages’ after being the first contestant to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house on Friday.

He added: ‘I haven’t spoken to Kate in ages. In a year, maybe a year. Weddings and funerals are when we see them.’
The millionaire businessman was the first housemate to be evicted from the ITV revival series of Celebrity Big Brother on Friday.

He told presenter Fern Britton: ‘She’s getting the best care in the world and all the family have done is wheel the carts around and look after the family.

Goldsmith added: “She’s great, she’s coming back, of course she wants to.”
Goldsmith shared her own opinions and also called for Prince Harry and Meghan to be stripped of their royal titles on Tuesday night’s episode.
He said: ‘I really think their titles should be taken away’.
Goldsmith also said Meghan Markle put a “stick in the spokes” and claimed she creates drama.
The businessman and film producer also said he and the Princess of Wales’ mother, Carole, were multi-millionaires by the age of 30.
