Jeopardy! viewers are furious over the “unacceptable” decision to feature controversial Canadian psychologist Jordan Peterson on Thursday night’s show.
Peterson, known for his outspoken and often divisive views, has amassed a list of controversies dating back to 2016.
As a result, fans of the beloved game show were shocked to see the 62-year-old on screen when his name was the answer to a clue presented in the latest episode.
Contestants Will Weiss, Bethany Korp and Mark Palmere were competing in the ‘Self-Help Books’ category when Peterson showed up.
Reading out the question, host Ken Jennings, 50, said: “12 Rules for Life is from this controversial Torontonian who also has thoughts on endangered masculinity.”

The mention of the headstrong speaker, 62 (pictured), prompted fans to share their disappointment online as they reacted to an “unacceptable” decision.
Weiss correctly answered “Jordan Peterson” and was rewarded with $1,000.
Due to her views on gender discrimination, the normalization of transgender pronouns and identities, and the existence of white privilege, fans felt it was inappropriate for the star to receive a mention on the show.
“Jordan Peterson doesn’t deserve to be a Jeopardy clue,” one Reddit user fumed. “It’s disappointing to see him there.”
Another commented: “This is super disappointing considering her stance against trans people.”
“Yeah, that put me off,” another fan added. “It’s a shame the response wasn’t something like ‘This big loser was recently forced to take media sensitivity training.'”
Another viewer commented: ‘I’m all for trivia and ‘who is this person’ but giving airtime to Jordan Peterson is really over the edge and unacceptable in my opinion.’
One fan of the show wrote: ‘I didn’t think they should put it on the Jeopardy! platform.’
Meanwhile, viewers also took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts, as one wrote: ‘Here you go @Jeopardy “fascist-misogynist-conspiracy theorist and author…” “who is Jordan Peterson”’.
Contestants Will Weiss, Mark Palmere and Bethany Korp were competing during the first round of the episode in a category about self-help books when Peterson’s name came up.
Fans made it clear that they felt it was inappropriate for Peterson to be mentioned on the show due to his provocative comments online.
Another tweeted: ‘@Jeopardy Jordan fucking Peterson? There’s no controversy about him being a sexist racist. I’m going to pass on your show for a while.’
One fan stated: ‘It’s not right that @Jeopardy is legitimizing Jordan Peterson.’
Another added: “No matter the context, Jordan Peterson is never the answer.”
Jeopardy! returned Monday with Season 41.
The show’s first episode left many furious over the “awkward” new categories that were introduced, which included “Parenting” and “Mom and Dad.”
While in another episode fans were left baffled by the unique ringer stance used by Will Weiss.
Meanwhile, fired Jeopardy! host Mayim Bialik hinted that she’s eager to return to the series.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, she said: “I’m definitely still a fan of the show and I’m very honoured to have been nominated for an Emmy for my work there.
‘That’s one thing I was able to change in my bio, that I was nominated for Jeopardy!
“Yes, it’s something I’m still very proud of. And yes, we’ll see what happens this season.”
