New Delhi:
Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia has written a new letter from jail, saying he will be out of jail soon.
In the letter addressed to the people of his assembly segment, the jailed leader said his party is fighting for good education and good schools, “just as everyone had fought for independence”.
“The dream of independence only became reality after the British dictatorship. Likewise, every child will one day get quality and quality education,” the AAP leader said.
“I will meet outside soon,” he said in his letter from Tihar jail.

Mr Sisodia, who has been in jail for over 13 months in the liquor policy case, said even the British were arrogant about their power and had jailed Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela.
“The British were also very arrogant about their power and used to imprison anyone they wanted on false charges. Even they thought that these prison walls would break those who fought for freedom,” the March 15 letter reads.
Stating that Gandhi and Mandela are his inspiration, Mr Sisodia told the people of his constituency: “You all are my strength. My love for your people has increased further by being in prison.”

Mr Sisodia is among the first AAP leaders arrested in connection with the alleged liquor policy scam. His party chief Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal and BRS leader K Kavitha were arrested in the case last month, just weeks ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Another AAP leader, Sanjay Singh, who was also arrested in the case, was released earlier this week.
