A disabled teenager has revealed he was kicked out of his own sister’s wedding because his crutches “didn’t match” the theme of her special day.

The 15-year-old, named Boris, who has mild cerebral palsy, took to Reddit to recount the shocking events that occurred on the day of his 22-year-old sister’s wedding.

He revealed that while attending his sister Sophia’s wedding, he and his family broke out into a heated disagreement because his crutches were blue, meaning they would stand out in photos.

In it Am I the idiot? subreddit, he wondered if he was wrong for having to use his crutches instead of his black cane, as his sister had requested.

Boris explained that his six sisters and mother ordered him to leave the wedding and blamed him for causing a “fuss” after he was told he couldn’t be part of family photos.

The post was titled: ‘My sister kicked me out of her wedding because I’m disabled.’

He explained: ‘I (15M) am the middle child of seven sisters. Yesterday my eldest sister Sophia (22F) got married to her fiancé and I was so excited. I am very close to Sophia and I like her husband.

‘I have mild cerebral palsy, which means I often use a cane or crutches to walk, mainly to maintain balance.’

She explained that her sister had begged her to match her cane with the wedding theme because hers was currently decorated with stickers.

Boris said: ‘Sophia had asked me to make my cane more presentable for a wedding. (The theme was black and white) which I completely understand (my normal cane is covered in stickers). Obviously I understand it wasn’t exactly formal so I wrapped it in black ribbon which my sister was happy with.

‘The day of her wedding arrived and I was having a really bad day, my legs were hurting and I was losing my balance.

Although I had planned to use my black cane, I ended up having to use my crutches, which are blue. I figured it would be okay (because who would care anyway?)

‘I didn’t get to say hello to my sister until the reception arrived. She seemed very offended that I was using my blue crutches and asked if I could just sit there and not take out my crutches so as not to ‘ruin the colour scheme’.

“I felt frustrated but I did it simply because she is my sister and she is right, they stood out a lot.”

When it was time for the family to pose for photos, a heated argument broke out.

“It was time for the pictures and that day I was relying heavily on my crutches to keep my balance. My sister complained to our mother in a grumpy voice: ‘Boris (me) is ruining the pictures,'” Boris wrote.

“I told him to suck it up. Then he begged our mother to tell me not to be in the FAMILY PHOTOS.

‘I was sure my mom would realize how ridiculous it was, but my mom sided with my sister and told me I was technically ruining the topic.

‘My mom, Sophia, and I argued, I couldn’t believe my sister was crying over something so stupid. My sister’s makeup was ruined and now her pictures had “ugly blue crutches.”
