Australia’s beloved blue heeler, Bluey, will feature in a new set of coins released tomorrow by the Royal Australian Mint.

The coin collection features Bluey alone, another shows the Heeler family together, and the third shows Bingo and Bluey dressed as The Grannies.

They can be purchased as individual coin cards or as a three-coin set that includes a sticker sheet.

Leigh Gordon, chief executive of the Royal Australia Mint, said the Bluey coins have given the Mint the opportunity to reconnect with a wider audience.

“This is classic mint commentary on storytelling and social culture through coins,” Mr. Gordon said.

‘We hope that through this new Bluey program we are cultivating the coin collector of tomorrow.

“What better way to start your child or grandchild’s coin collection than with a Bluey coin.”

Kate O’Connor, who created Bluey products, said the coins capture the spirit of Bluey.

“These fun, colorful coins encapsulate the playful essence of the beloved television series, making them a timeless treasure for fans and collectors alike.”

The Mint anticipates high demand for the coins, so they are urging people to register for an online vote, which opens at 8:30 a.m. today.

The coins will also be available tomorrow at the Mint coin pop-up store and through select authorized dealers.

How to get the new Bluey coins

  • EQL slip: Registration for the EQL ballot opens at 8:30 am on Wednesday and closes at 8:30 am on Thursday. The drawing will take place immediately after voting and selected participants will be notified by email. To register for the ballot, visit https://ramint.runfair.com/en-US/au
