A popular pyjama set has been pulled from the shelves of H&M stores across Australia due to safety fears.

The pink and blue fleece children’s footed pyjamas from Hennes & Mauritz do not meet current product safety requirements.

A recall notice issued by Product Safety Australia (PSA) indicated that the clothing does not contain a fire hazard label.

“There is a risk of serious burns if exposed to a heat source or flame,” the recall notice reads.

Consumers may not be aware of this danger.

The pajamas, which feature various decorative designs, were sold in H&M stores nationwide between February 26 and June 14.

Shoppers who purchased the products have been urged to stop wearing the garments immediately.

Customers are advised to return the item to their nearest H&M store for a full refund.
