Regional gasoline prices rose for the second straight week to an average of $3.43 per gallon for regular fuel on Monday, up from $3.42 per gallon last week, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Joined.
The average fuel price in the Lower Atlantic region has increased about 6 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices across the region over the past year have been as low as $2.88 on December 18, 2023, and as high as $3.66 on August 7, 2023.
A year ago, the average gas price in the Lower Atlantic region was 0% lower at $3.42 per gallon.

The average price of gasoline in the United States last week was $3.65, making prices in the Lower Atlantic region about 6.2% lower than the national average. The national average gas price is below last week’s average of $3.67 per gallon.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration’s price tally in the Lower Atlantic states includes Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
