For the second time in as many years, FOX Sports sideline reporter Erin Andrews has been accused of making something up while working an NFL game.
Andrews was in Wisconsin over the weekend to cover a game between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers.
It was a sloppy game in Green Bay, with cold temperatures and torrential rain at the start that continued throughout the game.
But a local meteorologist took issue when Andrews appeared to “make up” the conditions when he said there were 43 mile per hour winds and the possibility of thunder and lightning.
“Begging Erin Andrews to stop making up weather alerts,” meteorologist Sam Kuffel posted on X, formerly Twitter. He added: “Things like this make me irrationally angry.”

One person responded to Kuffel’s tweet, baffled that Andrews “specifically” said 43 mile per hour winds, and the meteorologist responded, “Right?!?”
This follows last year’s controversy, where a resurfaced podcast episode showed Andrews allegedly admitting to fabricating information.
On her ‘Calm Down’ podcast episode with fellow reporter Charissa Thompson, Thompson admitted that she made up a report with former Lions coach Rod Marinelli.
“I thought, ‘Oh, coach, what adjustments are you going to make at halftime?'” Thompson said. “He’s like, ‘That’s a great perfume you’re wearing.’ I was like, ‘Oh (expletive), this isn’t going to work.’ I’m not kidding, I made a report.
Andrews responded: “I’ve done it too.” For a coach I didn’t want to tear down because he was telling me all the wrong things.
That statement sparked backlash, prompting her spokesperson, Jill Fritzo, to tell the New York Times: “Throughout her career, Erin Andrews has worked closely with coaches, players and public relations staff to ensure accuracy in their reports.”
