Aliti Namoce, 26, was due to be sentenced in Sydney’s Downing Center Local Court on Monday after pleading guilty to two charges each of possession of a prohibited drug and supply of a prohibited drug.
He also pleaded guilty to a single charge of dealing with the proceeds of crime.
Earlier this year, Namoce was granted a variation of her bail conditions so she could travel to her home country to compete for Fiji at the Pacific Women’s Championships, but was later denied entry back to Australia.

She was due to appear in court on Monday to be sentenced, but the court heard she remained abroad and her passport had been taken.
It was anticipated the issue would be resolved in the coming weeks and she hoped her visa would be fast-tracked, the court was told.
Magistrate Scott Nash made an order so Namoce could be brought to court when she returned to Australia.
Agreed police details presented to the court reveal that police were patrolling in Zetland to “disrupt the supply of drugs” when they saw a man get into Namoce’s car before leaving a few meters further along.
When police stopped her a short time later, officers said they observed her “delaying rolling down her window… (and) she was actively trying to delete messages and close apps on her phone.”
Police immediately confiscated the phone and after searching his car discovered two plastic bags containing smaller packages of cocaine and ketamine.

More than $1000 in cash, which police said was the proceeds of crime, and a pocket knife were also found, and Namoce told officers he had driven from his home in Lalor Park because he was “going for a drive.” .
A check of his phone’s navigation app revealed he had visited several addresses in inner Sydney, including properties in Zetland, Gladesville, Balmain, Paddington and Glebe.
Namoce previously played for the Sydney Roosters and St George Illawarra NRLW teams and played seven games for the Parramatta Eels reserve team in 2024.
She played for the Fiji women’s Test team against the Cook Islands in Suva on 26 October, but was excluded from the team to face Samoa the following week.
Namoce will return to court at a later date.
