Fans of Scottish actor Ewan McGregor were impressed by his performance in the Paramount+ series A Gentleman In Moscow.
The British series follows aristocrat Count Alexander Ilyich Rostov (Ewan) and his life in confinement after being sentenced to house arrest.
It also stars Ewan’s wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Jason Forbes, and after starting on Friday, will have a total of eight episodes.
A Gentleman in Moscow is based on the book of the same name by Amor Towles, although the book makes no reference to the October Revolution.
Viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, to praise the show and, in particular, praise Ewan’s performance as the Count.

Despite being married for almost two years and in a relationship since 2017, Ewan and Mary, 39, were happy to be guided as they believed it was “still necessary”.
Ewan previously spoke out about the fact that he and Mary, 39, needed an intimacy coordinator for their sex scenes.
The two have been married since 2022 after they met on the set of Fargo while they were both married to other people.

And then five years after that, he was able to look back and say, ‘I wish I hadn’t done it.’ Why am I naked in that scene? It’s unnecessary.’ He now he talks to someone whose career does not depend on this person.
