It said revenue rose 22.5 per cent to £46.9m in the first six months of the year, with 1.9m tickets sold, up from 1.6m the year before.

And there are still some “particularly strong” films yet to be released on screens.

Coming soon: Everyman highlighted the release of Joker: Folie a Deux in October, as well as Gladiator II (pictured), Paddington in Peru and Mufasa: The Lion King in December.

Joker: Folie A Deux is out in October, as is Gladiator II. Paddington In Peru, Wicked and Moana 2 are coming in November, and Mufasa: The Lion King is coming in December.

He actions rose 3.5 percent, or 2 pence, to 58.5 pence.

Everyman said he “resisted” the pressure on schedules due to strikes by Hollywood writers and actors.

The increase in admissions was largely due to a “strong awards season”, with Poor Things, The Holdovers and One Life all drawing strong audiences.

Bob Marley: One Love and Dune: Part Two also performed well this year.

Still, pre-tax losses widened to £4.94m from £4.31m.
