The former partner of rock star Daniel Johns broke down in tears in court as she faced charges of stealing thousands of dollars in cash and vandalising a bookshelf.
Fashion designer Estelita Huijer appeared in court on Friday accused of stealing between $5,000 and $15,000 in cash from famed restaurateur Andrew Becher.
He is also alleged to have scribbled on a bookshelf with permanent marker while at his Point Piper home in Sydney’s east on Thursday.
Waverley Local Court documents show Huijer is charged with damaging property and burglary at a home, as well as breaching a domestic violence order imposed for Becher’s protection after a separate incident in 2023.
Mr Becher is the owner of trendy eastern Sydney restaurants Franca, Parlar and Armorica.
In granting bail at Friday’s hearing, Judge Jacqueline Milledge reprimanded a sobbing Huijer, the newspaper reported. Daily Telegraph.
“If you breach any of these conditions and have further contact with him, your bail will be revoked,” Milledge said.
“This constitutes a very serious violation of the order and is an indication that the situation is escalating and becoming more desperate.”
Under his strict bail conditions, Huijer was not to communicate with Mr Becher and was to report to police once a day.

Huijer is also accused of scribbling with a permanent marker on a bookshelf while at his Point Piper home on Thursday. When questioned outside Sydney’s Waverley police station, Huijer said he would strongly defend the charges.
You should also stay at home in Bondi Beach and not enter the nearby suburbs of Point Piper, Edgecliff or Kings Cross.
Huijer can’t either consume alcohol or drugs unless prescribed by the police and can test for compliance.
When approached from outside Waverley police station Huijer said the charges had been “manipulated” and he would defend them vigorously.
A day before her arrest, Huijer was seen on social media enjoying a meal at Potts Point seafood restaurant Harry’s Singapore Chilli Crab with fellow socialite Imogen Anthony.
Huijer dated Johns for about four years beginning in 2012.

Mr Becher is the owner of trendy eastern Sydney restaurants Franca, Parlar and Armorica.
The former Silverchair frontman told News Corp in 2015 that Huijer was “totally” his muse, but not in the same way Yoko Ono was to former Beatle John Lennon.
“If I’m going to listen to something ten times a day for three years, I hope the person living in the house doesn’t mind hearing it,” he said.
Mr Becher has been a star on the Sydney hotel scene for more than a decade.
His luxury Pelicano restaurant and bar in Double Bay was a magnet for celebrities including Ed Sheeran, Gerard Butler, James Blunt and Mel Gibson, but was forced to close in 2016 due to what Becher described as a “hostile takeover” by its landlord.
Huijer is due to face Downing Centre Local Court again on August 14.
