Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has said he is willing to take the blame for his actions following his ejection just four minutes into his team’s game against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old two-time NBA champion received the 19th regular-season ejection of his career, the fourth of the season, after an exchange with official Ray Acosta on Wednesday.

Green: Initially took issue with Acosta after being called for a personal foul, then approached the referee again after teammate Steph Curry was called for a shooting foul.

Green received a technical foul shortly after yelling at Acosta, and was whistled for another as he continued his unsolicited comment.

“It just can’t happen,” Green said Thursday on “The Draymond Green Show” podcast. ‘I said what I said. I deserved to be fired at that moment. If I’m completely honest with you all, I was trying to turn my body and lean it to go to the bench, but I said what I said too soon before I leaned my body. …But yeah, it just can’t happen.’
