Donald Trump wants to give golf legend Sir Nick Faldo a White House job if he is elected president in November, the Republican presidential candidate said on Friday.

Trump praised the British golf champion at a campaign rally in Bozeman, Montana, and revealed that Faldo was “a great friend of mine” while attending Trump’s event.

During the rally, Trump addressed the retired athlete and praised his golfing skills to the crowd.

“He could pick people, he could put the best players in the world in the game, and they would always bow down to him. In fact, I think I need to bring him into government because we like people to bow down.”

The former president then pointed to Sir Faldo and said: “That guy can play golf… He’s won six majors and many, many tournaments, and he’s one of the greatest golfers of all time.”

Although Faldo is from Hertfordshire, England, he appears to have taken an interest in Republican politics since marrying his fourth wife, former American topless dancer Lindsay De Marco in 2020.

De Marco, 61, a MAGA fanatic who was named Mrs. Conservative USA in 2012, is a staunch Trump supporter.

On Friday, she attended Trump’s rally in Montana with her husband, where they were seen chatting with the former president.

She often shares her support for Trump on social media. Last month, she posted an image on Instagram of a red MAGA (Honduras, Great Democrat) cap with a halo around it.

After Trump survived an assassination attempt on July 13, she posted an image of Trump and captioned it: “This is the only man I want leading our country!”

On Friday, she attended Trump’s rally in Montana with her husband, where they were seen chatting with the former president.

The couple lives on a farm in Montana, near Bozeman, where Trump’s rally took place.

They met in 2018 and married two years later in the Florida Keys.

Commenting on the nuptials, one of De Marco’s ex-husbands, Randy Heine, said the couple were “golf’s answer to Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor.”

She also said: “Lindsay has enough husbands for us all to be ushers at the wedding,” referring to her six previous marriages.

Heine claimed that his ex-wife had been a topless dancer, which was confirmed by a former manager of a bar where she worked. However, she has denied this.

He later worked as a manager for one of Heine’s businesses, which was raided by anti-drug agents.

Lindsay pleaded guilty and received a $250 fine and six months’ probation, but two years later she took a deal and pleaded guilty to one count of “using interstate transportation to ship drug paraphernalia.”

She was sentenced to six months of house arrest.

Faldo split from his first wife Melanie Rockall when she discovered he was having an affair with his manager’s secretary, Gill Bennett.

The golfer would later marry Bennett, before their relationship ended when he had an affair with Brenna Cepelak, a 20-year-old American golf student.

That three-year romance ended when he met Valerie Bercher and the spurned Cepelak famously hit Sir Nick’s Porsche with a golf club, reportedly causing £10,000 of damage.
