A fed up owner has hit out at pet owners for throwing bags of dog poo into their red bin while out walking.
The man said he was furious after frequently finding dozens of bags of rubbish dumped in his bin in Bondi, in Sydney’s upmarket eastern suburbs.
‘Bondi dog owners: what’s wrong?’ the man wrote on Facebook.
He explained that he had left his bin on the curb to pick it up and discovered it was full of bags of dog poop the next morning.
A resident slammed dog owners for throwing bags of dog poop (pictured) into their red bin.
Our bin was emptied last night and bags are already piling up. There’s even a steamboat in the grass,” she wrote.
‘Get the sh*t together.’
The frustrated owner threatened to take drastic measures to protect his container saying he would install an electric fence.
Social media users agreed that people should show respect to others and not place their dog’s litter in a container that belongs to someone else.
“I’m so glad there’s dog poop at the bottom of my freshly cleaned bin,” said one woman.
‘Your own dog, take care of yours! Don’t make others part of your problem,” another user wrote.
Others, however, were confused by his rant and asked him what exactly he was disagreeing with.
‘Are you upset because people pick up things and throw them in the trash, or don’t pick them up?’ said a man.
“Better in the trash than abandoned on the street,” wrote one woman.
The fed up neighbor said the council should fine pet owners who don’t clean up after their dogs (pictured) and those who throw the remains in a bin belonging to another resident.
‘Dude, you complain when people pick up (dog poop) and when people don’t.’
The man has frequently complained about dog owners on Facebook lashing out at walkers who refuse to pick up after their pet.
He claimed to have seen dog droppings on his neighbour’s lawn and referred to them as “the biggest dog droppings in Bondi” due to their size.
He ordered the offender to clean up the mess and said the problem was getting “out of control” on Beach Road, a popular strip near Bondi Beach.
The frustrated local said Waverley Council should start “fining offenders”.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Waverley Council for comment.
