Serious concerns are held for Hussein’s welfare as he lives with down syndrome and autism; he is also nonverbal.

Inspector Mark Wakeham put a call out on Sunday for local residents to search their yards for the boy.

‘We are hopeful he is still in that vicinity.

‘The family is very distracting.’
