Desperate search for 11-year-old girl who disappeared in a shopping center while Amber Alert is issued

The urgent search continues for a young schoolgirl who has been missing in Brisbane for more than 36 hours.

The girl, 11, left a home on Pine Mountain Road in Carina Heights, in the city’s southeast, at 6 a.m. Monday.

She was caught on CCTV riding a skateboard in an Upper Mount Gravatt shopping center two hours later, at 8am, and has not returned home or been in contact with her family since.

Police and family have serious concerns for his well-being due to his unusual behavior and young age.

She is described as Caucasian, 140cm tall, with a slim build and blonde/brown hair.

Queensland Police have launched an urgent appeal to help locate this missing girl

She was last seen wearing black shorts with blue trim, a black sweater, and red and black TN shoes.

He is known to frequently use public transportation.

A public appeal shared by Queensland Police attracted more than 1,500 shares on Facebook in several hours.

Police are urging the girl, or anyone who may have seen her, to come forward immediately.
