A 20-year-old man accused of murdering a woman before allegedly sexually attacking her body has been remanded in custody.
Ernestas Juska, from Dartford, Kent, is charged with the murder of Nina Denisova, 39, and also charged with committing a sexual offence against the deceased woman.
Juska appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court today for a brief hearing after being charged on Sunday.
He listened as the charges and procedures were explained to him.
The defendant, who was wearing a grey sweatshirt and pants and had shoulder-length auburn hair, spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth to the court clerk.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on Wednesday.

Police have launched a murder investigation after a woman was found stabbed at a property in Henderson Drive, Dartford on Saturday.
Emergency crews were called at 6.50am on Saturday following reports of a disturbance.
Ms Denisova was found with injuries consistent with stabbing.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim and suspect knew each other but are not related, Kent Police confirmed.
A Kent Police spokeswoman added that Ms Denisova’s next of kin had been informed and a report had been prepared for the coroner.
