Conor McGregor intervened to stop a fight between Franco Tenaglia and Tony Soto

Conor McGregor finally got back to fighting on Friday, when he interrupted a fight between two Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship contenders at a weigh-in.

McGregor is a minority owner of BKFC and was present when Franco Tenaglia and Tony Soto met before their light heavyweight title fight.

But chaos erupted when Tenaglia provoked his opponent by putting his fist under his chin, prompting Soto to punch him and prompting McGregor – and several others – to intervene.

The former UFC champion reveled in the violence as he held up a BKFC belt and applauded.

The fight didn’t last long or escalate much, as Tenaglia and Soto quickly separated.

McGregor, who has not fought since 2021, recently appeared at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium after their Champions League victory over PSG.

He enjoyed a kick-about with Gunners stars Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice after the 2-0 win.

McGregor’s last appearance in the octagon saw him lose to Dustin Poirier in their trilogy fight at UFC 264 and suffer a broken leg.

He was also scheduled to fight Michael Chandler in June, but that fight was canceled after he broke a toe on his left foot during training.

McGregor, a Man United fan, has not fought in the UFC since the loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021.

There are hopes that the 36-year-old can return to the ring next year.

For now, he will remain on the sidelines and possibly watch Tenaglia and Soto’s title fight.

Their fight will take place this Sunday in Marbella.
