Caleb Williams threw a pass into his teammate’s face as the Chicago Bears’ offense faltered in the early stages of their London game against Jacksonville.
Chicago gained just seven yards on its first six plays and was forced to punt on each of its first two drives at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft, had initial trouble finding his wide receivers in London.
And the Bears’ offensive woes reached a hilarious new low when Williams’ pass attempt found only the face of offensive lineman Matt Pryor.
The quarterback looked to make a pass with the gun after escaping some pressure, only for Pryor to get in his way and the linebacker made a block.

The ball fell into space but was ruled an incomplete pass, fortunately for the Chicago quarterback.
The clip soon flooded social media, with fans heckling Williams about the pass. “Clown show so far,” one wrote. “As a bear fan, this is funny,” another wrote.
Some fans on social media pulled up a clip from the Bears’ game against the Falcons in 2022, when former quarterback Justin Fields threw a pass into the back of teammate Michael Schofield’s neck.
On Sunday, Williams recovered from the comical mistake by finding tight end Cole Kmet twice in the end zone as Chicago took a 14-3 halftime lead.
The comical error was ruled an incomplete pass, fortunately for the Chicago quarterback.
