Buddy Franklin’s surprising new career has been revealed almost a year after he announced his retirement from the AFL.
The former football star retired from the sport in July 2023 after suffering a calf injury and went on to have one of the greatest careers the game has ever seen.
But leaked images have shown the sporting legend’s surprising new off-field adventure.
In a video shared on Reddit, Buddy was seen in a kitchen kneading dough while taking part in a film shoot.
“Anybody know what this is? Looks like Buddy has a new side job… but it’s not on the playing field,” the poster wrote.
Several users speculated that Buddy was now a chef and perhaps the face of a new “cooking show.”
“I’m no scientist, but if I had to go out on a limb, I’d say she looks like she’s participating in some kind of televised cooking show,” one user suggested on the thread, while another added: “Haha, is she on a cooking show?”
“This has to be an ad, right?” another asked.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that Buddy’s next move is part of a collaboration with Hahn, with the brewing company set to announce more on Friday.
Buddy’s departure from the AFL was officially announced by the club in July last year after the forward communicated his decision to his teammates.
Shortly after the news was made public, she posted a brief message of thanks on Instagram.
“What a ride! Thanks to everyone who has been with me on this crazy journey,” she wrote, accompanied by a heart emoji.

Buddy, who won a championship with the Hawks in 2008 and 2013, will go down in history as one of the greatest players in Australian rules football history.
He now sits fourth on the all-time AFL and VFL goalkicking list with 1066 goals from his 354 games.
His 1000th goal sparked wild scenes as fans flooded the SCG during the Swans’ clash with Geelong in March last year.

Among his many achievements, he was an eight-time All Australian, led the kicking on seven occasions for Sydney and six times for Hawthorn, and won the Coleman Medal as the league’s leading goalkicker on four occasions.
Since retiring from football, Buddy and his family have moved to the Gold Coast.
He married his wife Jesinta in a private ceremony in November 2016 and they share two children together, Tullulah, four, and Rocky, three.
Much of Buddy and Jesinta’s wealth comes from the power of their brand, and the couple has landed a number of lucrative endorsements over the years.
