Beyoncé caused a stir with an impassioned speech at Kamala Harris' rally in her hometown of Houston, Texas, on Friday night.

Beyoncé gave a powerful speech endorsing Kamala Harris for president at a rally in her hometown of Houston, Texas, on Friday.

And on Saturday, the Freedom singer, 43, shared memories of the event on her Instagram.

The post included videos and photos from the night which she captioned: “Time to sing a new song.”

The carousel of behind-the-scenes images included a backstage shot with the vice president and a snapshot of them hugging on stage with a backdrop that read “Vote for Reproductive Freedom.”

She also shared photos with her Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, her mother Tina Knowles and Collin Allred, who is running for the US Senate in Texas and seeking to unseat Ted Cruz.

‘I’m not here as a celebrity. “I’m not here as a politician,” Beyoncé said.

“I am here as a mother, a mother who cares about the world our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we are not divided, neither in our past, nor in our present, nor in our future.”

The mother of three continued: ‘Imagine our daughters growing up seeing what is possible without ceilings or limitations. It’s time for America to sing a new song.

‘Let’s do this. Ladies and gentlemen, give a big, loud Texas welcome to the next president of the United States, Vice President Kamala Harris,” Beyoncé enthused as the crowd roared in support.

The Single Ladies singer did not perform at the event, which reportedly upset some fans.

However, the comments on her post, unsurprisingly, paint a completely different picture, filled with love, support and gratitude.

More than 30,000 people filled the area and a further 10,000 were reported to have gathered outside while 2.5 million watched the live stream of the event.

Kelly Rowland took the stage near Beyoncé as she gave her speech and expressed her own support for Harris.

“We are writing a new American story… of goodness and hope,” he said.
