Baby Reindeer Knocked Off Top Spot on Netflix Most Watched List for New Drama: ‘Great Acting, Must See’

The show is about a man named Charlie Croker (Daniels) who is doing everything in his power to keep his real estate empire from falling apart after declaring bankruptcy.

Baby Reindeer has been dethroned for the number one spot on Netflix’s most watched list.

The miniseries, which became available for streaming on April 11, became the second most-watched television show after the release of A Man in Full on May 2.

Jeff Daniels stars in the new miniseries about a real estate magnate who is on the verge of bankruptcy.

A Whole Man also stars Diane Lane, Tom Pelphrey, William Jackson Harper and Lucy Liu.

Daniels’ new drama was enough to beat Baby Reindeer, but the two miniseries have since fallen to numbers three and four on Netflix’s most-watched list.

The show is about a man named Charlie Croker (Daniels) who is doing everything in his power to keep his real estate empire from falling apart after declaring bankruptcy.

Daniels plays Charlie Croker, a former college athlete known as “Atlanta’s biggest real estate hero” even though he owes more than $1 billion in unpaid bank loans.

Charlie must do everything in his power to prevent his real estate empire from crumbling forever.

Some of the people trying to profit from Charlie’s bad decisions include his ex-wife Martha Crocker (Lane) and a banker named Raymond Peepgrass (Pelphrey).

A Man in Full featured multiple plot twists and even included a special performance by Shania Twain for Charlie’s 60th birthday in the first episode of the miniseries.

The show highlighted the greed of many of its characters and its ending is almost too shocking to believe.

Baby Reindeer also gave a variety of turns to both the protagonist and antagonist of the critically acclaimed miniseries.

Centering on comedian and bartender Donny Dunn (Richard Gadd), his life is turned upside down after a woman named Martha Scott (Jessica Gunning) starts stalking him.

A part of Donny apparently liked the attention, but Martha’s obsession begins to damage him emotionally, even after she is gone forever.

Both miniseries were enough to reach the number one spot, but critics loved one show more than the other.

Jeff Daniels' new miniseries, A Man in Full, took the number one spot of most-watched TV shows on Netflix from Baby Reindeer upon its release on May 2.

Diane Lane, who plays Martha Croker, was a crucial character throughout the show. One of her final scenes was her intimacy with banker Raymond Peepgrass (Tom Pelphrey).

A Man in Full may have taken over the number one spot, but Baby Reindeer has destroyed Daniels’ new drama on Rotten Tomatoes.

Based on nearly 50 critics’ reviews, Baby Reindeer received 98 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and has an audience score of 83 percent.

A Man in Full only has a 43 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 59 percent audience score.

“There are hints of Succession (family problems, conversations about money, Croker yelling about ‘the Boeing’) but the series is nowhere near in the same league,” wrote Anita Singh for the Daily Telegraph.

“You wait for the drama to escalate, but it never does.”

A critic of the Chicago Sun-Times gave a more positive review about the show, calling it “very fun to watch.”

“It’s a lively and concise limited series. I can’t emphasize enough how much I appreciated the episodes that were only 45 minutes long,” wrote a reviewer for The Age.

“At the poignant intersection of urban politics, commerce, race, demographics and rivalry, the A Man in Full miniseries has plenty to offer with a superlative cast, including a literal show stopper for Lucy Liu,” he wrote Dominic Patten for Deadline.

X (formerly Twitter) users are divided on what to think of this program and one person tweeted That Twain look was the best thing about the show.

Twain even wrote a positive review about the show, stating that he had been “binge-watching it between rehearsals” for his show in Las Vegas.

Others have mentioned the show’s shocking ending, which ends with one person in a body bag and another dead on a bedroom floor.

‘The ending of ‘A Man in Plenitude’ is crazy. To be fair, that’s the only way it could have ended,” one person tweeted.

Others have criticized the show, with one person even writing a mild insult toward Regina King, who served as director and executive producer.

‘Everything about @Netflix A Man in Full is dumb! Of the three plot lines (there is no attempt to tie them together in any meaningful way, all three are absurdly miscast characters that no one can identify with). the tweeter wrote.

‘David E. Kelly just sent a script in the mail, is he too busy?’ Principal Regina King: I’d better not comment.
