AT&T is down for thousands of Americans across the country, three months after a widespread outage left people without service for hours.
Wednesday’s issues appeared around 4 a.m. ET and are affecting mobile phones and the Internet.
DownDetector, a website that monitors online outages, shows that customers in Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix and other major cities are experiencing problems.

AT&T is down for thousands of Americans across the country, three months after a widespread outage left people without service for hours
DownDetector website shows that problem reports for AT&T started coming in around 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday, but have since increased to more than 1,300 users as of 7 a.m. ET.
About 58 percent of users cited problems with their mobile phones, 32 percent have no signal, and 11 percent have problems with mobile Internet.
However, the outage does not affect all US customers at this time.
Users flocked to Elon Musk’s X early Wednesday morning to share their frustrations over limited cell service, but to ask the masses if they, too, are experiencing problems.

Others shared that they hope to receive a discount on their June bill.
The current outage has reminded customers of the major issue that occurred in February, which left more than 70,000 AT&T users without service for almost the entire day.
The peak of that outage also occurred around 4 a.m. ET and left users’ devices in SOS, meaning no connection.
