An avid fisherman accused of filming and sharing bestiality footage involving a woman and a live brown trout has faced court.
Ashley David Hallam, 55, appeared in Hobart Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday to apply for his matter to be adjourned.
The man from Dolphin Sands in south-east Tasmania has been charged with two counts of manufacturing or reproducing a product of bestiality and three counts of possessing a product of bestiality.
Hallam has not yet entered a plea.
Police allege a disturbing video that later went viral showed his co-accused, Catherine June Lee, lying in a boat at sea off southern Tasmania while Hallam used a live brown trout to perform a sex act on her.
The crimes allegedly occurred between February 2022 and January 25, 2023. Mercury reported.
Judge Marica Duvnjak accepted Hallam’s request and adjourned the matter until 25 October.
