UFC star and current bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley revealed that armed police officers stormed his home after a false report that he had murdered his parents and was an active shooter.

O’Malley was live streaming playing a video game when police walked onto his street and immediately caught their attention.

O’Malley said he came out and was forced to put his hands behind his head. Since he was not armed, the police allowed him to walk alone to the back of a patrol car, handcuffed, while they investigated the situation.

Swatting is when someone falsely reports a crime to the police by claiming that another person has committed a violent act.

Making such false reports is a crime in itself.
