Apple event live blog: all the news about the iPhone 16 in real time

Hello, everyone! Welcome to our live coverage of today’s Apple media presentation. We have three reporters on-site at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, to bring you live coverage. You’ll hear from Adrienne So, Julian Chokkattu, Lauren Goode, Brenda Stolyar, and Michael Calore throughout the event. Reece Rogers will also be there, posting on our social platforms.

Apple’s presentation begins in 10 am Pacific, 1 pm Eastern Timeand 6pm in the UKWe’ve got a full rundown on how to watch the show and what to expect.

Returns approximately 30 minutes Before the presentation begins, at approximately 9:30 a.m. in California, you will see the words on this page replaced by a feed of our live updates.

The short version of what we can expect: 16 iPhone models in standard and Pro versions, a new Apple Watch Series 10 in standard and Ultra versions, some refreshed AirPods, and a refreshed Mac Mini. Of course, we’ll also hear a lot about software, from Apple’s various device operating systems (iOS, macOS, watchOS, iPadOS, tvOS) to the Apple Intelligence features that tie it all together.

The invitation to today’s event features the tagline “It’s Glowtime” along with the Apple logo rendered in bright, colorful hues. The colors used in the logo are the same ones that now appear as a glowing ring around the edge of the screen to indicate that Siri is “active” and listening. We take this as a clear sign that Siri will get some significant time on stage. We don’t expect to see any new iPads or MacBooks unveiled at today’s event, but hey, you never know.

To watch, you can simply hit the play button on the video stream on this page, but it’s better on the big screen. You can watch it on the YouTube app on your TV – just tune in Apple YouTube ChannelYou can also watch it on Apple’s streaming app. If you have an Apple TV or any streaming device, just go into the Apple TV+ app. When you open the app, the live stream of the event should appear prominently at the top. This works even if you don’t subscribe to Apple’s paid streaming service. Watching on TV frees up your laptop screen so you can follow the live blog and crack jokes on X, Threads, Mastodon, or Bluesky.

We’ll meet back here about half an hour before the event starts!
