Aldi Australia has brought back a popular item that cost $6.49 and many shoppers say they’ve been waiting years for its return.

Frozen Bavarian pretzels, available in time for Oktoberfest, come in a box of six along with a sachet of seasoning salt.

Shoppers have been sharing rave reviews of the limited-edition pretzels on social media, with some revealing they are stocking up because they won’t be available for long.

Pretzel fans expressed how excited they were to get their hands on the product after a two-year wait since its last release.

I’m running towards my Aldi In the morning, one said.

“Honestly, it feels like I’ve been waiting years for them to come back,” another added.

This delicious baked pastry comes in two different shapes: the traditional pretzel and in stick form.

“Enjoy traditional Bavarian flavour straight from the oven,” reads the label.

Aldi’s frozen pretzels are a fan-favorite, with Australians stocking up on them in their freezers.

Many were alarmed to discover that they were already sold out in several states.

“I got some today, but stock is low or sold out in most stores,” one said.

The “divine” oven-baked pretzels are so authentic that European expats can’t get enough of them and think they should be in stores all year round.

“Someone in our German community started a petition to have ALDI keep them in stock permanently,” said one.

This comes after Aldi announced the best products of 2024.

Shoppers cast more than 312,000 votes on their favorite grocery items, from chicken to stain-removing laundry detergent.

Taking first place in the Socialite category was Urban Eats’ Greek Spinach and Cheese Spanakopita, $8.99.

This ‘delicious’ dish is popular with fans because it’s an easy solution for family dinners or weekend get-togethers.
