Nick Greiner has purchased a magnificent apartment in one of Sydney’s most exclusive residential areas.
The 77-year-old former New South Wales state premier shelled out a whopping $6.25 million for the lavish property in the posh eight-storey block known as Akoya.
Located in the North Shore suburb of Greenwich, 7km from the CBD, the complex features resort-style living including a rooftop infinity pool with stunning city views.
There is also a wellness centre, a library, a bar and a “golf room” where residents can practice on a simulator.
Meanwhile, a concierge is on-site to attend to the needs of residents and their guests.
Greiner, who was Liberal Premier of New South Wales from 1988 to 1992, bought his apartment off-plan, the paper reported. The Telegraph newspaper On Wednesday.
The complex, which was completed earlier this year, has already sold most of its 39 apartments.

According to Akoya’s website, there are currently only four residences available, including a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment for $1.75 million.

Marketed as a luxury retirement option for those 55 and older, each apartment features a fireplace, wine refrigerator and terrace.
The complex also houses several private offices that are reportedly available to buyers with separate title starting at $450,000.
Greiner’s purchase comes after he sold a condo in Point Piper for $14.5 million.
A third of the proceeds from the sale of the three-bedroom apartment were shared with his ex-wife Carolyn Fletcher.

The former couple, who were married for more than 40 years, purchased the property in 2002 for $4 million.
