An American woman has complained about all the things Australia does worse than the US, including chocolate and parking.
The 27-year-old quit her job and moved to Australia 12 months ago to visit picturesque destinations around the country in her 2000 Pajero.
But during her stay in Australia she couldn’t help but make a list of the little things that bothered her.
“Here’s my list of unimportant, inconsequential things that I actually still think are worse in Australia than in the US,” she said on TikTok.
‘I’ll start with the worst things to be a bit controversial.’
And his attempt to spark debate worked, with hundreds of Australians angered by his criticism, although others agreed with his arguments.
The woman revealed that she disapproves of standard flush buttons on toilets and is disgusted by having to touch them in public restrooms.
In the United States, some public toilets are designed with a lever instead of a button, which a woman presses with her foot, not her hand.

“You people here are so nasty about the flush button. Every time I have to use my filthy little toilet fingers to push a button that everyone else uses, I want to cry and move home,” she admitted.
The chocolate selection was also a problem for the young woman, as she is vegan and finds it difficult to find sweets that are not made with milk.
“Cadbury’s control over the Australian chocolate industry is enormous,” he said.
“Finding chocolate here that isn’t made with milk is much more difficult. Why is all your chocolate made with milk? Even the 85 percent dark chocolate.”
The fact that many grocery stores in Australia are located within shopping centres also caused a stir.

“The amount of frustration these (shopping malls) have caused me is beyond control,” he said.
‘Why do I have to go through a door into a public place and then through another door into an even more crowded place just to buy a few items?
“Why am I walking past shoe stores, bra stores, people having coffee? And after all that stimulation, I have to go into a grocery store.”
The traveller also said Australian car parks are often poorly designed and difficult to get out of, something locals agreed with.
He joked that it seems that city councils and architects are “committed” to making parking “the worst” experience for drivers.
The video has already been viewed more than 420,000 times and opinions are divided.
She came to his defence, writing: “I’m just moaning stupidly on the internet, relax. I still think Australia is better than America in many ways.”
One person who disagreed with the toilet flush button said, “But don’t you wash your hands after using the bathroom?”
“We don’t want huge, gigantic concrete parking jungles, thanks,” wrote another.
A third said: “I love having the grocery store in the mall. I can go to the pharmacy or run any other errands and then finish shopping all in one place.”
But some agreed with her.
“I cover the little button on the toilet with toilet paper so I don’t have to touch it. I’m okay with all that,” said one woman.
“I’m an American currently living in Australia. At least we don’t have to worry about the actual price of something before we get to the checkout. Here, if it’s $5.99, it means it’s $5.99,” another person wrote.
“I’ll buy the one from the supermarket,” added another.
