Nearly seven million Australians feel the need to find a second job to combat the cost of living, a new survey reveals.
Up to 32 per cent of respondents want a second income, equivalent to 6.7 million Australians, Finder research revealed.
As many as 41 percent of women surveyed and 24 percent of men surveyed believe they need a second job amid the cost of living crisis.
Australians in their twenties feel the most financial pressure, with 56 per cent of Generation Z saying they feel the need for two incomes.
This was followed by up to 40 percent of millennials.

Money-seeking expert Rebecca Pike said many people had no choice but to take on a second job to stay afloat.
“The cost of living crisis means many are in financial difficulty and struggling to pay rising insurance and energy bills,” he said.
Pike recommended finding ways to increase your income without having to take on a second job, which can be a big responsibility.
“From renting equipment you don’t use at home to renting out a spare room or advertising your skills on AirTasker, side hustles can be a great way to earn some extra money,” he said. 9News.
“That way you can choose when to work.”

The most sought-after jobs were moving jobs, which paid $168 on average, followed by residential cleaning jobs, which paid $182 on average.
Maintenance jobs came in third, paying $303 on average, followed by gardening/lawn mowing ($194) and furniture assembly ($169).
Trash pickup was also a popular job on Airtasker ($156), followed by painting services ($668) and freelance mechanic jobs ($251).
This was followed by pick-up and delivery services ($135 for an average job) and plumbing jobs, which could earn a person up to $261.
