A man recalls how he discovered his roommate had been secretly sleeping under his bed for “three or four months.”
The anonymous man, 24, took to Reddit to detail the terrifying moment he found his roommate, whom he referred to as Karl, sleeping in his room in the middle of the night.
In a thread titled, Am I the idiot?He wondered if he was wrong for getting angry when he discovered that his room had become his roommate’s sleeping area.
She revealed that Karl, 24, who she has lived with for two years, had been sleeping under her bed so the couple could “physically saturate each other”.

The man pleaded with people online and admitted that he feels like he is “losing his mind.”
The post was titled: ‘Am I a moron for being angry because my roommate was sleeping under my bed for months without telling me?’
She explained: ‘A few months after sharing a room with him, he told me he was pansexual. I said ok, great. I am not interested in that personal information, nor do I judge. I said fine.
‘A few times over the last year he asked me if I had ever considered “experimenting” with other men. I said no. I also said that I didn’t feel comfortable with him asking me such a personal question.
—Anyway, I had a horrible experience last night. I heard a noise under my bed. It was movement. At first I thought I was imagining things. But then I heard it again. I thought, “Oh God, is it a mouse or a rat or something? Oh my God.” It was like 3:00 am So I got out of bed and looked down with the flashlight on my phone.
This was the most surprising moment of my life. I guess I’m lucky because at this moment I had never felt true terror and fear as a physical sensation before, but I felt completely shaken.

The 24-year-old revealed he was absolutely stunned to see his roommate under his bed and admitted he was terrified.

“I literally thought I was having a heart attack. Then I started hearing “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry”, my roommate came out from under the bed crying and apologizing over and over again.
“I was so scared and scared that I ran out of the apartment in my pajamas.
“There was a 24/7 Dunkin’ a few blocks away, so I sat there with a decaf and a breakfast sandwich with my heart racing. My roommate was still sending me text messages asking me to talk. I ignored him,” he added.
The anonymous man further revealed that Karl had somehow scared him even more by continually texting him strange explanations about his sleeping habit.
And he added: ‘In the texts he found a way to horrify me even more. He confessed to me that he had been sleeping under my bed a few nights a week for “three or four months” and that he did it to get closer to me and “psychically saturate us.” What the fuck?
“I waited for him to go to work and ran to the apartment, grabbed my essentials and left. I’m currently sleeping with a friend. Our lease expires in a month, my intention is to simply not renew it.
‘This guy is blowing up my phone. And I get texts from other people, some friends of mine and some dorks who are friends of his. He goes around telling people that I embarrassed him and that I reject his apology.’
At the end of the post, he admitted that he was questioning his reaction after a bunch of people started messaging him and accused him of hurting his roommate’s feelings.

The man wrote: ‘Some people claim that I am exaggerating and invalidating their feelings. Most people agree that it was inappropriate, but think I should make it up to him and give him a second chance because he’s “sensitive.”
“I feel like I’m losing my mind and I’m seriously 20 percent convinced that I’m experiencing a long lucid dream of some kind and I’m wondering if I’m going to wake up or if I’m in a coma or something because this shit is so crazy to me.” .Not really, but maybe yes… I mean, what the fuck???
