The world’s biggest nightclub will open its doors in Ibiza next year, catering to small-town crowds.

UNVRS, pronounced “universe”, will take over the premises of a former “superclub” and will have an area of 6,500 square meters (69,940 square feet).

It is the same size as Fulham’s Craven Cottage Premier League football ground.

The previous club hosted up to 10,000 attendees at a time, but the newly renovated UNVRS will have space for up to 15,000 attendees at a time – that’s the population of Llandudno in Wales, and around 2,000 more than the coastal town of Whitby in Yorkshire.

Residents in Rye, East Sussex, could face overcrowding UNVRS three times… and we still have room left for 680 friends to join them.

Before the transformation, the club offered a huge central stadium with a swimming pool and 25-meter-high (82-foot) ceilings, plus several additional outdoor rooms that offered a club experience far beyond the norm.

To cause its opening, UNVRS He had the help of Hollywood actor Will Smith.

He appears in a social media campaign where the Men in Black star claims to have witnessed a UFO sighting and felt “obliged to investigate”, appearing on the club’s rooftop atop its distinctive dome with club owner Yann Pissenem.

Known for managing the emblematic Ushuaia and HI Ibiza stores, Yan Pissenem, CEO of The Night League, the group behind the UNVRS renewal, said Billboard: ‘Hyperclub is the next evolution in global nightlife. Imagine seeing your favorite artists in a space that offers the best elements of a club, the infrastructure of a stadium and the best hospitality in the world.’

According to the HI Ibiza website, UNVRS will be “a concept never before seen in nighttime entertainment.”

The UNVRS venue housed Privilege, the largest club in the world at the time, in the 1970s, before transforming into the Ku Club in the 1980s, known for its hedonistic outdoor parties that hosted Grace Jones (guest frequent), Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet to the stage.

Although no official opening date has been set, the club’s website says it will “welcome everyone to our new universe in 2025.”
