Roman Kemp has opened up about a tense interview with a James Bond actor that almost made him cry.
The One Show presenter, 31, has interviewed some of the world’s biggest celebrities throughout his time on the BBC show and during his appearance on Capital FM, which he did for seven years.
Speaking on the Therapy Crouch podcast with Peter Crouch, the former Liverpool footballer asked who his best and worst interviewees had been.
Revealing the awkward encounter, Roman, whose father is Spandau Ballet singer Martin Kemp, responded: “One person almost made me cry. I was young and it was for James Bond.
Roman said the Bond star’s name and confirmed that he was not Daniel Craig, but then said that the actor was as intimidating off screen as he was on it.

He shared, “He’s like that in real life and I sat there and asked him this question, and it wasn’t even a bad question, and then he sat there and thought.”
Roman then went on to tell how the actor took control of the interview in an unexpected way.
Giving an impression of a German-Austrian accent, Roman said, “He just turned to me and said, ‘For the rest of this interview, I’m going to ask myself the questions that I think I should be asked.’
The TV star added that he was so shocked by what happened that he fell into stunned silence.
Fans quickly took to the comments section below the TikTok video to speculate who the actor could be.
