Gary Ablett Jr’s wife Jordan has shared candid details about life with her son Levi, who suffers from a rare degenerative disease.
In a candid interview with The Herald of the Sun On Thursday, Jordan spoke warmly of the beautiful bond that forms between Levi, his sister Grace and his brother Ezra.
“Grace is almost two and a half now and they have a super cute connection and even having Ez, who is now seven months old, it’s nice to be around Levi with kids,” Jordan told the publication.
While the family appreciates the good times, Jordan acknowledged the increasing complexities that come with Levi’s condition as he grows older.
“Everyone keeps asking how he is and to be honest, it’s pretty much the same,” she shared.
“I feel like we sound a little repetitive, but he’s getting older and he’s growing up, which means there are more challenges coming, but we’re getting there.”

Gary and Jordan also celebrated their son Levi’s fifth birthday in January.
The couple shared a series of sweet images of the baby enjoying a day at the beach to mark the occasion.
‘Our oldest boy turned FIVE today! Happy birthday Levi! We love you and are so proud of you,” he wrote.
In the footage, AFL star Gary hugged the boy as he enjoyed a dip in the shallow water.
A beaming Levi seemed delighted to have fun in the sun as his father held him in his arms.

In an interview with The Significant Others podcast in March 2021, Jordan spoke about the family’s heartbreak after Levi was diagnosed with a degenerative disease.
She said it took a long time for her son to be diagnosed with the unspecified illness and detailed the devastation she and Gary felt after learning it was “life-threatening.”
“I remember sitting with Gaz in that meeting and when they said it, I remember completely breaking down,” she said.
After seeing a number of paediatricians, Jordan said it was the Geelong Football Club team doctor who finally put them in touch with the right person.
He said the new pediatrician “hit the ground running,” and after months of worrying, the couple, who married in 2016, finally had some answers.
Jordan said she and Gary first became concerned after noticing that Levi was not reaching the same milestones as other children his age.
They decided to make the little boy’s condition public because they didn’t want to have to lie when people asked about their son.
