A Playboy model who starred in the Russian series ‘The Bachelor’ has died while awaiting a lung transplant after years of suffering following a car accident.
Veronika Murashkina, 31, from Toguchin, Russia, was hit by a drunk driver in 2020, leaving the model bedridden because her leg was severely shattered.
While on bed rest, she developed a life-threatening lung disease and was placed on an urgent transplant list, but Veronika died on October 18, just days before the surgery was due.
Veronika became famous in 2017 when she participated in the fifth season of the Russian version of ‘The Bachelor’, where she fought for the heart of popular actor Ilya Glinnikov.
She lived in Moscow, the Russian capital, where she earned an education in economics and later pursued a career as a model.

However, in the summer of 2020, her glamorous life ended when she was involved in a horrific car accident.

One afternoon in August, he went for a walk down the street with childhood friends whom he had not seen for a long time.
Suddenly, a car, driven by a drunk classmate, flew into the parking lot where the group was located.
Veronika took the brunt of the blow and was seriously injured. For many years, doctors did everything they could to save his leg and he underwent a very long rehabilitation.
She had to give up her modeling career and instead dedicated her time to crafting.

It is reported that as a result of Veronika’s long time bedridden, her immune system weakened and she contracted the disease which was reportedly so severe that she required a lung transplant.
A friend of hers told local media: ‘After the serious accident, her leg was literally rebuilt piece by piece. She was treated for a long time, stayed in clinics and recovered.
“It seemed like her problems were finally in the past, but then a new one came when the lung disease hit her.”
It is reported that as a result of Veronika’s long time bedridden, her immune system weakened and she contracted an illness that was reportedly so serious that she required a lung transplant.
The friend added: ‘Veronika was on the waiting list for a transplant but did not live to see it. This brilliant person passed away tonight.
