The night of late-night television has added an international twist, with a UK superstar announced as the first act on the entertainment line-up.
British singer-songwriter James Bay will perform at the 2024 TV Week Logies at The Star in Sydney on August 18.
The Grammy-nominated artist, 33, who was in Australia in March, said in a statement that he is looking forward to the event.
“I’m really excited to be returning to Australia for the second time this year,” said the Let It Go hitmaker.
‘Australia has always been a special place for me and I look forward to performing on the stage at The Logies.’
Best known for his triple-platinum hit song Let It Go, James has been nominated for three Grammy Awards in the categories of Best New Artist, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song.
The Logies have also confirmed their first round of presenters for the event, including Home and Away stalwart Ray Meagher and his former co-star Kate Ritchie.
Other stars who have been confirmed to take to the podium include Rachel Griffiths, Deborah Mailman, Matt Shirvington, Larry Emdur and Luke McGregor.

The first round presenter line-up is completed by Celia Pacquola, Stephen Peacocke, Michelle Lim Davidson, Claudia Karvan, Costa Georgiadis, Sarah Abo, Charlie Albone, Stephen Curry and Muster Dogs, with more to be announced.
Comedian Sam Pang will host the awards night.
“Hosting the Logies last year was an incredible experience and I’m delighted to be returning in 2024,” Sam said in a statement in June.
‘To add to the excitement, Seven also gave me the green light to try new things this year, so I’m really looking forward to showing off my under-appreciated and severely underdeveloped singing and dancing skills.’
Andy Lee, Asher Keddie, Julia Morris, Larry Emdur, Robert Irwin, Sonia Kruger and Tony Armstrong will compete for the Gold Logie.
The Logies have also confirmed their first round of presenters for the event, including Home and Away stalwart Ray Meagher and his former co-star Kate Ritchie.
Last year, Pang was hailed as one of the greatest Logies presenters of all time following his debut at the awards.
His biting jokes during the Logies included high-profile targets such as Channel Nine’s Karl Stefanovic and retired Sunrise presenter David Koch.
Channel Seven’s broadcast of Logies was a ratings success for the network, attracting an impressive 877,000 viewers.
Fans have attributed the show’s success to Sam, with many tuning into The Logies for the first time just to watch him host the show.
He was a huge hit with viewers thanks to his fiery jokes, which took aim at everything from the crudest reality shows to the scandalous private lives of celebrities.
Sam’s opening monologue included a critique of Married at First Sight, saying the controversial reality show is “a clear sign that we’re not going to make it as a species.”
He also joked about the lack of diversity on commercial television, saying: “I’m the first presenter in the history of the Logies to be half and half – half Channel Seven, half Channel Ten.”
