A young woman was left furious after her sister-in-law demanded she dye her red hair black for her wedding.

The young woman explained that the bride-to-be’s invitation came with a list of unpleasant demands.

In a post on Reddit, she explained that the problems began when her partner refused to be at the couple’s wedding party.

He suffers from anxiety and didn’t think he was the right candidate for the job, but his sister, the girlfriend, took it very personally.

“I was glad to be invited and was on good terms with the family, but I had no idea what that would entail,” she wrote.

After her partner refused to attend the wedding party for a second time, the young woman was told that she was still invited, but that she would not be provided with a dinner plate.

She would also have to dye her natural red hair black.

The bride also introduced a color dress code, requiring guests to wear burnt orange or green.

Each new demand made the young woman feel at odds with her family.

“He’s pointing at me,” the young woman complained.

“The best thing I could do is wear a wig, but I’m really fed up with it at this point.”

People flooded the comments with support and called the girlfriend spiteful and unreasonable.

“So you’re invited, but you need to dye your hair and you’re not getting any food. That’s in bad taste, it sounds like a nightmare,” said one woman.

“Obviously don’t dye your hair for this woman. And don’t buy a burnt orange dress for God’s sake… this woman is a fool,” said another.

Others suggested going to the wedding with red hair “just to screw it up” or, alternatively, buying a ridiculous Halloween-style black wig.

Some thought she should bring a picnic, a pizza order, or a McDonald’s takeout to show her interest in not being fed.

Others said it was no wonder the groom suffered from anxiety.

A man suggested the perfect revenge plan to put his girlfriend in her place.

“I think you need to be an adult about this. No games. Invite them to a nice dinner and talk about this face to face,” he said.

“But you know… a couple of days before they come, let them know that you don’t have enough food for her and that everyone will eat except her,” she added.

The bride eventually revoked the no-dinner rule, but decided it was still best to decline the invitation.

“She’s trying to get you to leave without uninviting you… she’s too old to be that mean,” one man said.
